Isn t Mahomes, Cousins,Tannehill,Goff, Wentz near the top also.Mahoems is the only guy on that list who has a ring and probalbly will get another or few.Well I guess Wentz did get one with Philly watching Fowles finish the deal.

Yep and this is one good thing about Tom Brady

He's taken less just for that reason and has talked about it publicly
Tom Brady consistently took less money in New England than he could have so that the Patriots had more money to get players around him. This is about Brady putting the team and a desire to win ahead of ego and greed.

I don’t know where you got the list but it’s wrong .

They use AAV when it’s convenient and when it’s not they use base salary for 2022.

Mahomes is THE highest paid QB in the NFL but they left it off the list and used his base salary because his base salary fits the narrative.

Then they take Watson contract and ignore the base and use AAV because that fits the narrative .

Such fake news

If they are using the same criteria that they using for mahomes Watson would be practically the lowest paid QB in the NFL

they backloaded his deal so the fine money would be as low as possible

Looks like you are wrong because I just checked every list available and they are all the same.

People always talk Brady took less but what about all the money saved by him propping up other players that didn’t make a ton? This used to be called by some skeptics “the system”, what that meant? Who knows but it sounded cool.

Think now we can just say he was a teammate elevator like none other. You had white dudes making grabs all over the place on a budget.

Maybe that included bonus money or cap hit?

Yeah, he was paid peanuts as browns knew he was suspended
They aren't looking at the true yearly

The chart just takes the full contract and divides by the number of years and splits it even.

Example: 200 million contract 4 years so 50 million a year. Obviously each year will be a different number but the chart doesn't bother with this because it wouldn't fit into the point trying to be made.(number mutipulation to for preconceived notion/idea)

I am guessing it only took top 4 because the 5th guy made play-offs.

Look at the super bowl winning QB's over the last bunch of years

They were either on a rookie contract or they were Tom Brady who was paid on a MAJOR discount.

Few exceptions to the rule

Matt Stafford was an exception. However he was an upgrade over Goff and had a milenial coach (my bad, wrong thread)

Not related but can we also do the cornerback position? Denzel Ward got 100.5 million.

also of note. Every one of these guys is on the 1st year of a new deal.

The 1st year always pays the least on a contract.

The Watson contract alone shows the stupidity of the Browns organization.
I feel sorry for the fans to put up with this idiotic bullshit.

How many chances do you get to add a possible franchise QB?

Next year will be telling.

even though Jay Cutler gets mocked he is still literally the best qb the bears have had in the last 30 years.

Packers gave up a 1st round pick for a QB picked in the 2nd round that had a drinking and attitude problem and got Brett Favre. Gotta take chances and just hope i guess

This has nothing to do with contract but thought it was funny. The one guy at the end is hilarious.

"Do you think the massage therapists understand its a QB hungry league?"
